Happy Calendar Change time everyone, we hope that you have all guided your ships safely through the turbulent waters of the holidays. It's a rainy morning here on the West Coast as we, the band otherwise known as Hedley, are deep in rehearsal mode for what is shaping up to be our biggest boat launch yet. Tickets are going quick! As you might already know, Hedley has partnered with Free The Children to make a difference in lives around the world. This fall we asked you to get involved with us, to help raise money for impoverished students and families in India. We are so proud to announce with your help we have been able to raise nearly $14,000! This is a huge feat and are so proud of all of you for helping to break the cycle of poverty. We are very excited to see the communities we visited reap the benefits of your generosity, by using this money to provide clean drinking water and proper medical attention. We can not thank you enough and are continually impressed by the love our fans radiate!
Got to get going, rehearsal starts in an hour...we will see all you Salty Dogs and Land Lubbers alike soon enough. Raise the main sails, she's getting a bit stormy out.

Once again you have shocked us with your creativity and holiday spirit. It was extremely difficult to pick our winners as you all did such an amazing job! Finally, after much deliberation we have narrowed it down to our five finalists. The holidays can be a crazy time of year. A time for friends, family, frozen ponds and gastronomical delights. But instead of waxing ecstatic about another year gone, I think it is only fair to share a tale from a Hedley Christmas past. So throw another log on the fire and hold onto your sweater cause we're about to spin some yarn.
Twas the night before christmas and all through the bus, not a member was snoring, not even our Tour Manager Russ. The stockings were hung by the beer well with care, home bound we drove through the cold, crisp night air. Crew and band were nestled all snug in our bunks, we had just cleaned the hallway so it was free of all junk. With Jake watching Trailer Park Boys and Tom in his cap, we'd all just settled our brains for a long Trans-Can Nap. When out on the roadside there arose such a clatter, I think we sent Chris to see what was the matter. Away to the front he flew with a sprint, peered through the windows to see through the tint. When our big driver Cookie starts yelling and quick! "Guys do we have insurance? We just hit St.Nick!"
St. Nick we exclaimed, where could we be? Is that in Alberta, Saskatchewan or even BC? Chris came back to the bunks with a strange look on his face, "Come look at this, there's toys all over the place. "
We all went outside to survey the scene, a fat man in red with ears blowing steam. He was cursing and swearing and getting real pissed, saying we were for sure on this years Naughty list. Something about blind spots and failed landing gear....is it just me or did Santa smell like too much Christmas Cheer? We calmed the Old Elf down with some cookies and Nog, rounded up the reindeer and lit a Yule Log. A plan was then formed and we set to the feat, of helping Santa on his way to make christmas complete. Band and crew gathered gifts, placing them each in the Sac, we harnessed up Rudlolph and worked our way back. Next Dasher and Dancer, then Prancer and Vixen, then Comet and Cupid and Donner then Blitzen. When the sleigh was full up and loaded with care, we looked to see if Santa was anywhere near. We looked all around but the fat man was gone, not a trace not a track on the white snowy lawn. All of a sudden we heard from the bus, a flurry of velvet and great awful fuss. Santa was raiding our fridge, and what had we there? He was grabbing some beverages so we could all share a beer. We raised our cold cans in the air cold and clean, this had been like no christmas anyone had seen. He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a yell, "Get me out of here before they offer more help". But I heard him exclaim, 'ere he flew out of sight. "Thanks a lot Jerks, you almost ruined my night"
True Story. Not as gruesome as the year someone got run-over by a reindeer but we'll save that one for next time. Moral of the story? If you're going to enjoy some nog this year, do it responsibly and don't operate any low flying magical toboggans while doing it. Help someone in need and share your time friends. That's what the spirit of christmas is really all about. So from all of us here at Hedley, keep your feet warm and your snow cold. We hope you all get #Shipwrecked tickets in your stockings!

If you submit your photo through twitter make sure that its uploaded via www.twitter.com and not another service (TweetDeck, ubersocial etc). Please make sure the photos are JPGS with the dimensions 640 x 480. and that you only submit them once.
Photos will be randomly selected by Team Hedley. You'll have to come to the show to see if you've won!
