One of my best friends cousin

One of my best friends cousin is in the opening band Creature. She's played me a lot of their music and they're very good. Very unique.

    It's pretty hard to compare

It's pretty hard to compare Hedley to Tokio Hotel. Hedley is more known in Canada and U.S., while Tokio Hotel is an international band, and the biggest band in Europe right now. (They're from Germany) They've just started releasing their music in North America and have only been here twice ( I went to see them the second time around, trust me, they're a really AWESOME band) So, I guess in a way they are bigger than Hedley since they're international?

I seriously wanna go, cause it's two of my favourite bands in one concert. Too bad I live in Ontario. LOL.

ohhh ! thanks by the way

ohhh ! thanks by the way

    I (L) Hedley :D

    oh ontario.. yeah a little

oh ontario.. yeah a little bit too far.. hope you'll get the chance to see them soon!!!really!

and the international thing is true.. they're german Za.. that's why.. but i think that with two hot bands like this they could have made two concerts... the two bands (i think) are big enough to have a lot of people to show up for them!

anyway.. we'll see how it will turn out.. the worse that can happen is that we could have fun! It's a Hedley concert! Always fun for the Twinz:D

    hehe sure
they didn't play any new songs, sadly. i think they played almost all the same songs as they did on this summer tour, even What I Got. and i believe they played for about 40-45 min, not sure.
mostly everyone that was there in the crowd was going for Tokio Hotel. i was like "aw, they're so un-loved today" but man, when Hedley came on stage EVERYONE was jumping and screaming. im pretty sure Hedley converted some Tokio Hotel fans to Hedley fans ahahaha

    How many people were there?

How many people were there? I heard there were TONS!

    Any guestimations?

    oh yeah!! the show was

oh yeah!! the show was AWESOME!!! the crowd screamed soooooo loud when they announced Hedley!! all day we've been looking for Hedley fans and didnt find a lot... soo we were SUPER suprised when EVERYONE screamed for them!! and when they played NEVER TOO LATE and FOR THE NIGHTS the crowd sang loud too! You should have seen Jake's face he was ssooooo happy!! my friend was far from the stage and she told me people were singing from front to back! this is awesome!! im sure there are new hedley fans cuz of that perfo!!! The guys were on fire and just before leaving i wanted to AT LEAST see Tokio Hotel .. what they look like LIVE ... and gosh.. they NEVER jump .. or try to entertained the crowd!i was at the back for them cuz i didnt wanna be hurt when TH go on stage! sooo the Hedley guyz looked awesome just before that performance (if we can called THAT a performance!) loll

    i'd say we were 20 000!
    i heard 10 000 and 30 000! so i think 20 000people is nice!
you should have seen how much people left when Tokio Hotel began their set.. it seems like they realised how bad it was!
the journalist said that like last time they went here they weren't great and good entertainers! it's not cool for the tons of people who slept there to see them!
but Hedley got only good reviews!!!:D

    (8) Beautiful insanity... (8)

I've come across a few blogs

I've come across a few blogs on this and everyone was the same ... Hedley rocked and TH had no clue on how to put on a good live performance.

    Way to go boys!

Good to know everyone had a

Good to know everyone had a good time! Glad the boys put on an amazing show. ^^

But, did no one else like TH? xD I'm a big fan and I've seen them LIVE and thought they did an awesome job. There style is a bit different when performing, Jake is definitely more interactive and crazy than Bill, but Bill is entertaining as well. But everyone has their opinion. :P

I wish I could of gone. LOL, can't wait to see pictures. :D

    yep thats totally true

    yep thats totally true janet.
oh and a security guard mentioned there was around 30,000 people there.

That crowd was INSANE! I got

    That crowd was INSANE!

I got there late. I read the 24h time wrong, so we were there an hour or so early, but that was a good thing! When we got there, there was still standing room about 30 people back from the stage, so we had pretty good sightlines.

Jacob had a little 'catwalk' to come out on stage. Of course Jacob made use of the entire area, whereas Tokyo Hotel just stood in their spot on the stage; not utilizing anything they had to interact with their fans.

I was estimating there was about 15,000-20,000 people there, but I could believe there were close to 30,000 people! When I say there were a lot of people, I mean there were people going on for KILOMETRES.

When I left my spot after Hedley, we walked for atleast 10 minutes to get out of the crowd, far enough back where the crowd dispursed enough for anyone to walk where they wanted to go. Even at the back, there were people sitting on lawn chairs; so far back I dont even know how any of those people could see a darn thing!

Hedley definitely showcased a lot of talent to new fans at that show, that's for sure! And by the sounds of it, Hedley was heads above Tokyo Hotel in earning the crowds respect! I know there were just a few people singing around me, but by the end, everyone looked like they were having a great time! There were these group of guys behind me that kept making fun of Jake and Dave's use of French. St. Jean sounded more like, "Saint John". Very cute!

Jake had a lot of trouble with his "ears". He spent half the time at the side of the stage with Dan's help, trying to get them to work! He seemed so frustrated, pulling them out a few seconds into each song, and going back periodically. There was a lot of taking off Jake's belt, feeding the wires through his shirt... Playing songs with his belt half on, swaying back and forth.

And for whoevver was far enough back, did you see the video screens? That's one great thing at a huge show like this! The videography they had was phenomenal! It was DVD quality, and the angles they were using was so neat. They'd have a close up of Jacob singing in the corner of the video screen, and in the other corner, they'd have a pretty shot of the moon, or another shot of one of the guys. The juxtapositioning was just really neat!

They did the usual set minus a few. I know they cut out Villain, On My Own, Gunnin, Paycheque, and I think there was one more. I didn't really expect them to play Nothing At All.

Jacob played For The Nights I Can't Remember from a lawn chair

I'm pretty sure that's the longest 'review' I've ever written, but going to an out of province show is SUCH an experience! Different people, the band is different towards the crowd, seeing people who didnt know Hedley sing along by the end of the song... Such a great experience! It was a unique show last night, that's for sure!

    Pictures to come...
