Where In The World Is Hedley?
Will Universal be posting updates on where the band is over the next year - ie tour dates outside of Canada, when they're back here in the studio, etc?

OK guys, here's the scoop ... and yes, I do have permission to pass this information on to everyone. Last night in Orangeville, I had a good talk with their Manager about what the Canadian fans can expect in the coming months.
Once the Kingston show tomorrow and the Tremblant show in December are finished, as of last night, unless you plan to travel to Germany, possibly Australia, Japan and a slight chance to the States, you will not be seeing the guys on tour until January 2010 at the earliest.
The guys are taking a much deserved rest for a couple of weeks before starting some studio work. If everything goes as planned, they will be going to Germany at the end of January. There is no set time as to how long they wil be there - they will feel it out as it goes. There's a chance they will be going to Australia and Japan and maybe even back to the United States - although the States may not be until 2010.
According to their Manager, Hedley will NOT be playing any shows in Canada during 2009 - EXCEPT possibly a few in the province of Quebec during the summer (he said Quebec is a complete "different market" than the rest of the county).
Hedley plans to be at the Junos at the end of March - which are being held in Vancouver. Their Manager said they will not be performing but might be one of the a presenters.
Once the new album is completed, plans will be made for the guys to do a cross Canada promotional tour at the same time as the CD is released. They will be playing larger venues on the first tour to promote to new album and then they hope to play some of the smaller ones on a second tour.
As for Val's question about us knowing what's happening with the bands... the answer is YES ... Hedley will be keeping us posted about what's happening with them, when and where concerts are, etc.
Their Manager couldn't stress enough how important and precious Hedley's Canadian fans are to them. They do not want to keep us in the dark about what's happening with them while they are overseas. I let Mr G. know that forumers would really appreciate being kept up-to-date and it would mean a lot to us.
Remember, what is said and planned for now is always subject to change - none of the above plans are set in stone (other than Kingston and Tremblant that is).

when they're done with this tour they go start wroking on the third record, and then in janurary they go to europe for a bit and do some shows over there and then they come back home and finish recording the new cd. lol but i hope they post like the tour dates for when/where they're playing in europe. :]

yeah , chances are they won't do another tour here until their third album comes out.
it'll be neat too if people from europe like them alot (which i know they will) and start coming on the forum.
then maybe they can even talk about hedley with us, and post some pictures or videos, audios of hedley performing there.

I am pretty sure (logical guess on my part) that they will tour late spring 09 through summer 09 playing festivals and stuff again and try out some new songs on the new CD like they did the spring and summer before Famous Last Words came out.

apparently, quebec has been trying to become independant from Canada.
also, when i enter contests online, it always says "Available to all Provinces excpet Quebec".
why is that?

oh wow. that is pretty sad to be honest...
but since i live in ottawa, i could possibly make it to some of the quebec shows .. depending on getting a ride and what not. i'm glad they'll inform us on what's happening though
but yeah, if anyone wants to explain the quebec being a different market thing please go right on ahead lol i'm confused? but is it that shows in toronto and montreal always sell out or something?
EDIT: my dad said he will pay for a vacation/trip thing the summer i graduate high school (since we never go anywhere during spring, summer or winter breaks) and well if i can find out the tour dates, i might just have to go where the hedley concerts are

I cannot believe it will be that long until Hedley is touring over here again. I already miss them from St. Catharines. That makes me so sad, i don't know what i am going to do without them for that long! They keep me going with life.
I'm a selfish little whore. No sharing. I support them getting famous world wide, but I don't like sharing.
I'm deeply afraid that a band I invested years of my life to, is going to replace me with a european Sandra.

i much prefer small intimate shows like the Kool Haus or Massey Hall (massey in the next step up, but still perfect size).

traveling to other parts of the world will be good for hedley becoming more popular. the only thing is, it won't be good for me or that other hedley fans in canada who don't plan on going to europe. i really wished they would be able to tour in canada in 2009. i guess i'm cool with whatever is good for the boys.
